3 May YA Releases To Add To Your TBR

Wednesday 4 May 2016

I didn't read anywhere near as many books as I wanted to in April so I'm determined to make up for that this month! Last month, I only got to one of my anticipated releases and it was a disappointment so hopefully I'll fare better this month. These are the three I'm most looking forward to:

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
Ruined by Amy Tintera
The Crown's Game by Evelyn Skye

I'm most excited for A Court of Mist and Fury as I just love Sarah J. Maas's writing.
Ruined and The Crown's Game both sound like the kind of fantasies that I like so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some good reading this month!

Let me know what books you're looking forward to this month!

  2. I was disappointed by one of my anticipated books last month, too! *sigh* I'm really bad for keeping up with all the new releases. There are so many I am excited for (which you know), and I wish I could get to them all! I'm really excited for ACOMAF, but I am also nervous that Tamlin will be pushed aside.

  3. YES, YES, YES! Couldn't agree more on your picks for May, I am currently reading ACOMAF, I have The Crown's Game on pre-order (I have heard nothing but good thinks about this book so far) and I am trying to find to best way to get a copy of Ruined as it doesn't come out in the UK till June but I think the US already have it!

    1. I'm currently reading ACOMAF too and omg it is just so good! Ohh I didn't realise that Ruined wasn't out here until June! It's so frustrating sometimes that they get a lot of releases first. I keep hearing good things about The Crown's Game too, I can't wait to get a copy!

    2. I know there is so much love for The Crown's Game! I am waiting impatiently for my pre-order. I have heard it has like 10 POV which should be interesting :)

    3. I hope we both love it! Oh wow, 10 POVs? That really will be interesting. I hope they're easy to keep up with! :)

  4. All of these books have a very fantasy/high fantasy feel to them, which is so nice. I'm in the middle of a fantasy read myself, and am also reading a contemporary, and it's nice to think of all the other fantasy books that are still waiting for me to read them (it's my favourite genre and sinking into a new world is always a joy, although I feel like I've been unintentionally more focused on contemporary/autobiographical works recently). None of these are really on my tbr, although I'm a little interested in ACOMAF, even though I didn't have the most enjoyable experience with ACOTAR. I'm... still undecided whether I'll get to it, although from your above comment it sounds like you'd recommend it! I'm happy you're enjoying it! I hope the other two are just as marvellous, Nicola! Happy reading! x

    1. Fantasy has become my favourite genre recently too. I actually never used to be a big fan of it and I can't believe that when I look at how much of it I read now! I like a contemporary now and again but fantasy definitely has my heart now. I would absolutely recommend reading ACOMAF! I enjoyed ACOTAR too but I can also say that ACOMAF is a hundred times better! I hope you're currently reading something great! xx

    1. OMG yes! You need to read ACOMAF immediately! It is SO good and definitely my favourite book of the year so far (which is going to be hard to beat). And you're right, it's Sarah J Maas so you just know you're in for a good read! :P xx
