Feature and Follow is a weekly feature hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
The aim is to make new friends in the book blogging community and gain new followers to your blog.
Question of the week:
I try to write my reviews as soon as possible after I finish a book as all the details are still in my head. I occasionally write things down whilst reading a book if it's something that I want to remember to mention in my review. Generally, I don't have a specific format for my reviews and try to just write my honest feelings about the plot, the characters and so on. I actually sometimes find it harder to write reviews for books that I loved!
Do you have a specific method for writing your reviews?
Oh yes! Writing a review for a loved book is hard because all I want to say is I love it I love it I love it!

Haha glad to know I'm not the only one!
DeleteThanks for following :)
We have almost the same review process, but I also have a review journal where I initially write my review before typing it up.

Ohh a review journal is such a great idea!
DeleteHopping through. I need to write my reviews sooner after finishing. I have a tendency to forget things and have to go back and reread the book.

I know what you mean, I think I would be likely to forget things too if I didn't write my review straight away.
DeleteWhen I write reviews for books I love it is so hard. All I want to do is fangirl and gush! Old follower!

I know, exactly! I have such a hard time trying to explain why it's so good haha. :)
DeleteI'm such a perfectionist that it takes me a while to think of what to write and then I just hope that I can get it down the way I had it in my head.

I feel the same way sometimes. Some reviews are harder than others and it can be really frustrating when I can't get my thoughts written down properly.
DeleteI also find it so hard to write reviews for books I love the most. I have about 5 reviews pending because I cannot figure out how to write my feelings out.
ReplyDeleteNew follower!

It's so frustrating when you can't figure out how to write your feelings. I go through that a lot!
DeleteI am like you that I write my reviews soon after I read. And it makes it easier to stay on top of my reviews too.
ReplyDeleteI find it makes it much easier to stay on top of things! I like being organised :)
DeleteIt is definitely tougher to review loved books! If I love a story, I want to include as many quotes and plot points as possible, but I hold myself back from publishing a giant review by editing a bunch! :)
ReplyDeleteOld Bloglovin' follower; new Twitter follower! :)
I know the feeling! I'm always having to do that with the books I love too :)
