3 YA April 2016 Releases To Add To Your TBR

Friday 1 April 2016

How did you all do with your March TBR?
I only read two of my anticipated reads but did find a new favourite in Carry On by Rainbow Rowell.

There are only three books on my anticipated releases for April.
It feels like a quieter month than normal for publications but I am excited for these three.

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead (April 5th)
The Star-Touched Queen by by Roshani Chokshi (April 26th)
The Rose & the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh (April 26th)

I haven't read anything by Richelle Mead before and despite The Glittering Court being likened to The Selection (which I didn't like) in the blurb, I'm still excited for this one as it has a royal setting. I'm a total sucker for a good royal setting.

The Star-Touched Queen has been on my radar for a while and the fact it has been inspired by Indian mythology has me very intrigued. I love fantasy at the moment so I have high hopes for this one.

I have still to read The Wrath and the Dawn but plan on reading it very soon. I've heard some really great things about it so I think I may have done myself a favour by waiting until the sequel, The Rose & the Dagger is out so I don't have a torturous wait!

What books are you looking forward to reading this month?

  1. The Rose and The Dagger and The Star Touched Queen are definitely my buying priority for April-they looks so great. I am so glad that The Wrath and The Dawn is a duology I wasn't looking forward to waiting another year.

    1. They really do look great! I know what you mean, I think I'll end up being really glad that I've waited so I can read them together.

    2. Are you going to marathon them (and hope that you like them) or are you going to buy The Wrath and The Dawn and then buy the sequel later if you enjoy it?

    3. I actually already have a copy of The Wrath and the Dawn which I got at Christmas. I think I'll wait until the second is released before starting so that if I'm loving it I can get a copy and carry on!

    4. Wise! I am planning on doing this with the Orphan Queen duology, but I am undecided if I should buy it on kindle (as the first book is only £2) or I am going to love it and I should just get them in Hardback! decisions, decisions!!

    5. Ooo I've been meaning to read that book forever! Looks like I've unintentionally made a good decision of waiting until book two is out too. Ahh that really is a tough decision! £2 is a bargain but you really can't beat a good hardback.
