Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Hyped Books I've Never Read

Tuesday 7 July 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke And The Bookish

This week's list:

If I Stay by Gayle Forman
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey *
The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

* I own all three of these and do plan on reading them but I am way behind the hype! I'll be reading Throne of Glass later this month as part of the #ReadThroneofGlass readalong.

Have you read any of these? Do you recommend them? Let me know what I'm missing!

  1. Lord of Rings is just classic and great!! Boy has those books been around a long time. Hush and Hush I have been wanting to read ever since it first came out, but have never gotten around to it.

    1. I might read it one day! I always put it off as I wasn't a huge fan of fantasy but I'm liking fantasy more and more these days so it might be a good time to give it a go. I hope you manage to read Hush Hush soon!

  2. The 5th Wave is one of my favorite series! There is a lot of mixed reviews for it though. But I would totally recommend it. There are so many great characters to love.

  4. The lightning thief is a good read because all the books of the series are out!! The 5th wave (and its follow up the infinite sea) are fantastic, but the last book in the trilogy doesn't come out until next year! #TheMoreYouRead

  5. If I Stay is great (Where She Went is even better) and Vampire Academy is worth it just to get to Bloodlines and spend some time with Sydney and Adrian. And of course Throne of Glass is wonderful!

    1. I definitely want to read If I Stay at some point as I have heard lots of good things! I've never been sure about Vampire Academy as I'm not a huge fan of vampires but everyone is saying how good it is so I'll have to reconsider! I'm looking forward to starting Throne of Glass too :)

  9. I've read three of those book, but even though I've heard so much about the rest, I never got the chance to read them. Most of them are on my TBR-list, though, so I hope I get to them some time.
