I haven't borrowed as many books as normal from the library recently as I've been catching up with ARCs, but whilst collecting a couple of reservations today I decided to have a browse too.
Here's what I got:
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven is a book that I have wanted to read for a while. One of the book groups I participate in over on Goodreads is reading it this month so I'm glad to have a reason to get to it at last. I have seen mostly good reviews so I have high hopes for this one!
I haven't heard a lot about Marly's Ghost by David Levithan but it is quite an old book (it was first released in 2005) which is probably why. Although this lovely paperback edition was released in January this year so it looks like it may be making the rounds again.
I have an ARC for the sequel to The Queen of the Tearling and it's a book that has been on my TBR for a while so I'm really excited to be reading it at last. There's a sticker on the front alerting me to the fact it's being made into a movie starring Emma Watson so assuming I like this book, I'm going to be really excited for the movie!
The Dark by Lemony Snicket is a very short graphic novel illustrated by Jon Klassen. I absolutely love Lemony Snicket and I'm starting to explore graphic novels so I had to have this when I saw it. I've already had a quick flick through and the illustrations look really great.
Have you read any of these books? Let me know what you think of them!

I can't wait to finally read The Queen of the Tearling. I really hope you enjoy these!
ReplyDeleteI've been really looking forward to it too! Thanks :)
DeleteHope you enjoy All the Bright Places! I adored it (although prepare for a little heartbreak!)
ReplyDeleteI hope so too! I've been looking forward to reading it for ages. (& thanks for the heartbreak warning!)
DeleteYou picked up some great books. I really wish I used my local library more often, but frankly, I do not even have a library card. All the Bright Places and The Queen of the Tearling are two books I have been wanting to read for a while now.

I started using the library again a couple of years ago and I'm really glad I did. It's a great way of trying books that you're not quite sure about. I have also pretty much ran out of space for my own books so I try to borrow more than buy (which is hard! haha). I hope you get to read those two books soon! :)
DeleteI read many good reviews about All the Bright Places! It sounds like the kind of book that made me cry :')
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it!
