Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This week's top ten:
Ten Books I Will Probably Never Read
A lot of these just have so many books in the series that I would rather keep up to date with recent releases. Nothing against Stephen King, I'm just not into horror and he writes so fast. Let me know if you think I'm missing out by not reading any of these!

Rules: Open your current book, open to a random page and share a sentence or two.
Author: Victoria Aveyard
"You believe you are the masters of the world, but your reign as kings and gods is at an end. Until you recognize us as human, as equal, the fight will be at your door. Not on a battlefield but in your cities. In your streets. In your homes. You don't see us, and so we are everywhere." Her voice hums with authority and poise. "And we will rise up, Red as the dawn."
Seeing Hush Hus a bit today! Definitely a hit or miss with that one. I liked it. But yeah, The Mortal Instruments is one I will likely never read either! Stephen King too. Though I did read one of his novellas.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
It's one of those ones that I may read eventually if I come across it at the library or something. You're right though, there's a lot of mixed reviews!
DeleteI've read one Stephen King book (out of desperation as it was the only book I had at the time lol) and it was okay but horror just isn't for me.
Thanks for visiting! :)
I definitely see why you don't want to read the Mortal Instruments! The first two books aren't amazing and the series is definitely long.
ReplyDeleteI do want to recommend The Infernal Devices though because its only a trilogy and the characters are a thousand times more developed. (the overall writing is better)
It's so long! And it seems like there are always more spinoffs being released too.
DeleteI've actually read The Infernal Devices! I read them earlier this year as part of a book group and really enjoyed them. I didn't think I would but they were much better than I was expecting. Maybe I'll have the same reaction with TMI if I ever get around to them! lol :)
I'd skip Hush, Hush and Outlander, but you should really try Mortal Instruments and Vampire Academy. They go fast and are addicting.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the recommendations! I'll probably get around to borrowing them from the library one day :)
